*The owner of the building where hundreds gathered for a house party in Chicago that streamed live has been hit with fines and cited her for disorderly conduct.

According to TMZ, a city alderman said the owner has also been put “on notice” for violating the state’s stay-at-home orders amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The fees will be determined by the court at a later date, the report states.

The owner said her adult kid is to blame for the party, as he allegedly he had keys to the place and disarmed the alarms for the massive event.

Footage from the event has gone viral, showing folks jammed into a house on the westside.

The video, which has 2.2 million views, was posted on April 25 by Facebook user Tink Purcell.  One of the partygoers told MTO News, “I’m not worried about [the coronavirus] . . . but if I didn’t have it before, I probably got it now. Oh well.”

Purcell posted Sunday on her Facebook timeline, “I had my mask and sanitizer I was good.” She also denied reports that 1,000 people attended, adding, “Ya’ll trippin’.”

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot reacted to the footage on Twitter, “I have seen the video which shows what appears to be a house party taking place inside a Chicago residence. What was depicted on the video was reckless and utterly unacceptable.”

She also linked to a site and asked the public to use it to send in anonymous tips about future house parties.

“CPD will shut them down immediately,” she wrote. “The fewer people who comply with the ‘Stay At Home’ Order, the sicker our residents will get and the harder it will be for us to recover.”

She also warned folks who continue to defy the state’s quarantine orders: “We will hold those responsible accountable.”
