*Terrence Floyd, the brother of George Floyd — the Black man who was murdered by four Minneapolis police officers on Memorial Day — has called on protestors to put and to the rioting and looting.

In an interview with ABC News, Terrence said the violent protests against police brutality is “overshadowing what is going on.”

“I do feel like it’s overshadowing what’s going on because, like I said, he was about peace he was about unity,” he replied. “The things that’s transpiring now, they may call it unity but it’s destructive unity. It’s not what he was about. That’s not what my brother was about. … It’s OK to be angry, but channel your anger to do something positive or make a change another way because we’ve been down this road already. The anger … damaging your hometown is not the way he’d want.”

Addressing a crowed gathered in Minneapolis on Monday afternoon, he urged them to “Keep my brother‘s name ringing!”

In a separate interview with ABC News over the weekend, Floyd said, “Sometimes I get angry, I want to bust some heads, too. I wanna … just go crazy. But I’m here. My brother wasn’t about that.”

As noted by Complex, George Floyd’s children, Quincy and Connie, have also called for an end of the violence at the protests.

“The violence is not the right way to do it,” Connie said, WGN-TV reports. “Now, this is beautiful, but the violence, it won’t solve nothing.”

Quincy added, “Tearing up things, it’s not going to solve anything. … My dad is in peace and we have to be the ones to deal with all this stress. It’s going to be tough to get over this day by day.”

But many fed up Black American’s believe the time for peace is long over.

As noted by Tariq Nasheed, “Somebody done gave George Floyd’s brother a batch of butter biscuits, and now they are about to try and parade him around as a distraction to the real issue. Which is the #AntiBlackWar that’s been allowed to go on too long.. And the people have said enough is enough.”
