*We just heard from Brittany Hardiman, the owner of The Core 94 Radio in Houston, Texas. Brittany reached out to us to share a recent interview with singer Kelly Price, who just lost her grandfather to the novel coronavirus.
The day after losing her grandfather, Bishop J Norman, to COVID-19, Price discussed not only that loss, but body shaming in the music industry as well as working with R-Kelly.
And for the record, it was a few days later that she made a substantial donation to the BET COVID Relief Fund.
As you will see, Price gives a powerful testimony filled with emotion in a 3-part interview series for Core94’s “Quarantine Chronicles” series. Additionally, she relives growing up in a devout baptist household in New York, being discovered by Mariah Carey [Grammy, Billboard Icon, NAACP Image Award] and having in-depth marriage discussions with Whitney Houston [Grammy Hall of Fame, People’s Choice].
Watch parts 1 and 2 below. Stand by for part 3.
