‘Untold Stories of Hip Hop’ Exclusive Clip – Ice Cube Recalls Time He Thought His Rap Career Was Over [WATCH]

*We have an exclusive clips from this week’s episode of WE tv’s new series “Untold Stories of Hip Hop” featuring Ice Cube dishing about the moment he thought his career was over before it even began, as well as his battle with rapper Common.

In the clip above, Cube recalls how a DJ effed up his chances at a record deal way back in the day during a contest for local talent.

“They messed up our music,” Cube tells host Angie Martinez. “We gave him the cassette and it’s cued up, and when we gave it to this punk, he rewound it. So it was the wrong song and they have to fast forward it and find the intro…. moment gone, and we lost.”
