THE REAL: Jeannie Admits To Being A ‘Sapiosexual’ + Adrienne Sometimes Cries During Sex

the real crew - table

*On Tuesday, July 9, the hosts of The Real wonder if the myths are true that women who are “crazy” are better in bed and if being in love really makes couples fat. The ladies weigh in with their opinions and personal experiences on the folklore.

Then, co-host Jeannie Mai admits and defines how she is a “sapiosexual” when it comes to pillow talk.  And Adrienne Houghton compares notes with her co-hosts about what kind of sex deserves a tear to be shed.

Jeannie Defines “Sapiosexuality”

The Kind of Sex Adrienne Sheds a Tear Over

Jeannie Defines “Sapiosexuality”

Jeannie Mai: I’m a sapiosexual, you know. I’m aroused…

Loni Love: What that? What that?

Tamera Mowry-Housley: What does that mean?

Adrienne Houghton: The mind.

Jeannie: Really? Really? Okay, then tell me if any of you ladies agree.  A sapiosexual is someone who gets aroused by intelligence and stimulating conversation.

Tamera: Oh! Then I’m a sapiosexual!

Jeannie: You know what I’m saying? Yeah!

Loni: I don’t want no scrubs, either.

Adrienne: It sounds real fancy, but most people are.

Jeannie: Nah. No. Some people are really, really attracted to looks first, or money, or things like that.

Adrienne: Really?

Loni: Right.

Jeannie: No, it’s all about conversation.  So, pillow talk can really make it for me.

Adrienne: Most women are.

Jeannie: If you… Look, I’m just saying for me, if you kiss this mind (points to her head), she will follow (points down).

(The Real audience applauds)

Jeannie: So, I want my pillow talk to be… I wanna talk about, like what you…

Tamera: Yeah. Give us an example.

Jeannie:  Yeah, yeah, so, okay.  Okay, okay.  Real talk?  Okay, I’ve shared this with you before. My pillow talk… I’ll give you a good example and a bad example.  I know today when I, when I meet men and I have pillow talk… If it’s stimulating if we’re talking about dreams, goals, questions that you want to be answered in the world…

Adrienne: Like what? Like, give us an actual topic.

Jeannie:  I like talking about it, I like talking about world change.  I like talking about things that you want to do in your community…

Tamera: Sexy.

Jeannie: Like things you’ve done that…

Loni: The trade deficit.

Jeannie: Or, no, no, no, or somebody that you’ve helped.  Somebody that you recently helped. Like if I hear of somebody that you’ve personally helped in your life, that turns me on.  If I hear about your family situations and what you’re doing to play a role in your family to help change, that turns me on.  Um, if you don’t care and you’re talking about things like, um… If you’re gossiping the whole time.  If you’re complaining during pillow talk…

Loni: You bringing up old people, old relationships.

Adrienne: Who does that?

Jeannie: Yes! Girlfriends. If your pillow talk is blah, or if you just roll over and sleep, yo, everything dries up.
