*On Friday, January 25, The Real celebrates Fri-Yay as the hosts discuss how a high-end restaurant in NYC has banned single women from eating alone at the bar and that one time co-host Jeannie Mai crashed a party that she was accidentally invited to. Also, co-host Adrienne Houghton reveals how she would eavesdrop on her husband early in their dating years and the ladies ponder what would be on their “wanted posters” if they were ever to be pursued by the law.
Then the hosts reach out to a couple in Orlando, FL employed by the Department of Corrections who has been affected by the shutdown, and lend them a helping hand. The Real has been reaching out to U.S. government employees in similar situations throughout the past two weeks.

How Adrienne Eavesdrops
Adrienne Houghton: I’ve been doing this for years.
Tamera Mowry-Housley: What?!
Jeannie Mai: What do you mean?
Adrienne: So, there’s something called ‘voice memo’ on your phone. And you literally can put it on voice memo, lock the phone, put it down, walk out the room, let you all talk about me, walk back in, play it back outside the room, listen to what you all said, walk in and be like, ‘so Tam, would you say that like sometimes I can talk a lot? Like, would you ever say that?’ And then you might be like, ‘of course I would say that! You do talk a lot’.
Tamera: Yeah.
Adrienne: Or, you can lie to me and be like ‘I would never say that about you, Adrienne.’ And then I’d be like, ‘bitch, you lie!’
(The Real audience and hosts laugh)
Adrienne: Then… there it is. Like, wham bam, I have the evidence.
Tamera: You’ve done this on people?
Adrienne: Ok, I’m not gonna lie… I actual did this in my early, early days of dating Israel. I did this in the car. I left my phone, on voice memo, put it into the side thing of the car, walked out and went into the store. I was like, let me see what phone calls he makes, let me see if he talks to anybody on the phone, because a lot of people…
Jeannie: I mean, yes, when you’re just dating and you’re getting that serious, you kinda want to be sure.
Adrienne: Yeah, you’re just getting to know each other.
Tamera: Interesting.
Adrienne: So, I would want to know… Came back. Listened. He was writing a worship song in the damn car.
Tamera: Aw…
Adrienne: He was like (singing) ‘Lord, I love you… Jesus. Oh, hallelujah! And I was like, oh, there’s nothing here.
Tamera: Did you ever tell him?
Adrienne: Yeah, of course I did! I was like, ‘that was a cute song you were singing!’
Loni Love: I do it the old fashion way… I just eavesdrop.
Adrienne: No, but you guys, it’s actually pretty brilliant. I’m just saying, you can literally go to the store….
Tamera: I’m the opposite.
Loni: I will actually leave the room and act like I’m leaving the room… (Loni stands up and hides behind a wall) But then I’d be like… (She peeks out from behind the wall).
Adrienne: But, damn, the way my hearing is set up, I can’t hear!
