*LeBron James is facing some newly fresh backlash following the controversy surrounding his China remarks last week.Â
We previously reported… James spoke out about the Daryl Morey tweet supporting the Hong Kong protestors, which sparked an international incident involving the NBA. James said the Rockets GM simply “wasn’t educated” about China before he posted his pro-Hong Kong tweet.
“Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you are not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself,” James told reporters. “I believe he wasn’t educated on the situation at hand and he spoke, and so many people could have been harmed not only financially but physically, emotionally, spiritually.”

Hong Kong democracy protesters were left FURIOUS at James for speaking out against Morey … and they burned his jersey in the streets. Now, many Americans are pissed at the NBA star for allegedly “disrespecting” the “Star-Spangled Banner” on Tuesday ahead of the Lakers game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
In the clip, James is seen hyping up the crowd toward the end of the National Anthem.Â
“Let’s go!” he shouts as the music plays. Several viewers hit up social media to accuse LeBron of “disrespecting” the Anthem.
“If this was the Chinese anthem @KingJames would have showed the proper respect,” Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy reacted.
Others defended James, including sports blogger Dominique Clare who noted that he was “getting hyped at the end of the song.”
