Kandi Burruss & Todd Tucker Welome A Baby Girl (Blaze Tucker) Via Surrogate – Click to See Pic

*There’s a new addition to he Kandi Burruss/Todd Tucker household. That’s because on Friday the couple welcomed a baby girl via surrogate.

As we reported, Burrus, 43, and Tucker, 46, went the surrogate route for their second child together because of Kandi’s history of fibroids which could’ve complicated her pregnancy.

Speaking of pregnancy and health issues, the birth of the child is all the more remarkable considering twins were expected before one of them tragically died in the womb.

The baby, named Blaze Tucker weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz at birth. (The proud parents shared a pic of the newborn below.)

The couple also share a three-year-old son Ace Wells Tucker, and Kandi shares her 17-year-old daughter Riley Burruss with her ex-boyfriend Russell ‘Block’ Spencer.

Kandi’s fans were kept in the loop about the pregnancy during RHOA season 12, which began airing earlier this month and is still ongoing.

The No Scrubs songwriter revealed during the November 3 premiere that her surrogate, named Shadina, had originally been pregnant with twins before she lost one of them.

‘We actually was supposed to be having twins, and then one of them didn’t continue,’ Kandi explained, adding, ‘I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it.’

She had two remaining embryos after the initial round of IVF in which Ace was conceived, so both were implanted.

‘To allow someone to carry my child inside of her, it was a tough decision to make,’ Kandi recalled in her confessional.

‘I mean, you know, you have this guilt, sadness,’ she said, after noting she had missed pregnancy milestones like the first kick and milk coming in. ‘So it’s a joyous, yet interesting experience right now.’

Kandi revealed earlier this year on an episode of Busy Tonight that she had consulted with Bravo boss Andy Cohen when he was expecting a son via surrogate.

‘I said something like, “I guess I’m gonna have a baby mama,” and he said to me, “Don’t you ever say that because you are the mother. And to say she’s your baby’s mom is taking away from you,”‘ she said as tears welled up.

‘It made me feel better.’
