Jussie Smollett Takes a Hit on Secret Sale of L.A. Mansion

Jussie Smollett sells home

*Jussie Smollett has sold his L.A. mansion in an off-market deal valued at $1.655 million, The Blast reports.

Smollett reportedly took a $30,000 loss on the hillside contemporary bungalow, which he purchased more than two years ago for $1.687 million.

According to real estate records, the former “Empire” star sold off his 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 7,573 sq. ft. home in a sale that was not publicly listed. He closed the deal on July 15.

The home boasts “wonderful views and lush green rear yard” and “all bedrooms feature suite baths.”

Via The Blast:

The listing touted a “Two car garage, custom Dolby 5.1 surround sound, Pro Cooks Kitchen, Exotic Wood Decking, to Nest operated Heating and Cooling systems, an enormous lower master retreat fully equipped with two walk in closets, large master bath, and separate office and/or nursery with a wall of glass doors leading you out to the Entertainers Deck.”

At the time of Smollett’s purchase, the upper level of the two-story home encompassed a combination living/dining room and open kitchen with an over-the-treetops, north-facing mountain view along with two guest bedrooms and a couple of renovated bathrooms. Downstairs, in addition to a private study/office and another bathroom there was a spacious master suite complete with two walk-in closets, a marble-tiled bathroom and French doors to a slender deck with a through-the-telephone wires view across the valley.

The property is also equipped with a digital security system and built-in surround sound.
