*Jeannie Mai and Jeezy recently confirmed on Instagram that they are boo’d up, with both the “Real” co-host and the rapper sharing their love for each other via various photos of them cuddled up.
But almost a week after news broke that they were dating, Mai’s past comments about Black men are coming back to haunt her.
In response to the couple’s news that they are “official,” the internet was quick to resurface an old clip (from 2014) of Mai claiming that she prefers men who are white.

During a segment on “The Real,” the hosts chopped it up about their “types,” Mai made it known that she “loved Black guys!”
“But for me, dark meat on the side. White keeps me mean and lean, you know? That’s why I married white. That’s what I like,” she added.
Her former co-host Tamar Braxton, replied, “Before I get offended, I’m going to just hush.” Mai then demanded clarity from her Black co-hosts about why they were offended by the comment.
“What I’m saying is I really do think Black men are attractive,” Mai explained. “When I think about men, I like dark men. I used to date Black men. I think they’re attractive. But when I decided to stick to – because it just kept me happiest – was my man Freddy, who just happens to be White.”
Reminds me of the #InsecureHBO episode when the two white girls banged Lawrence and then completely dismissed him once they were done using him for his “dark meat”. pic.twitter.com/KGxMoHDkqu

“$h*t…hello Hunnay took on a whole new meaning ??,” she wrote alongside the photo.
Jeezy also hit up his IG page to post his own photo of them together, calling Mai his “woman crush.”
“She love when I talk dat fly $hit… ? #wcw,” he wrote.
