*”Star Wars” fans will get an early Christmas gift this year because the new Stars Wars film hits theaters the week of Christmas.
The wait for the final film of the current trilogy is almost over. Fans have been waiting over two years for this final installment. The film stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Billy Dee Williams, who makes his return to the franchise as Lando Calrissian.
Willams has been a part of the Star Wars franchise since nearly the beginning. He made his debut in the second film, “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” Yours truly, L.Marie sat down with the cast of new “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” and spoke with the Hollywood legend about his longevity with the franchise.
“It’s been very interesting, it’s a phenomenon that’s for sure,” says Williams.

It’s such a phenomenon that people would do anything to get the first scoop about the storyline. Someone could have gotten their hands on the script after actor John Boyega lost the script in his apartment. Disney executives were in a panic trying to find the script before it could be sold and leaked, but they were able to find it before that happened.
“The script got lost underneath my bed in my apartment but Disney found it. Nothing got leaked,” says Boyega.
He goes on and gives us a small hint of what to expect in this film.
“I think we’ve all been dying for the kids to be together, you know we’ve wanted that because that’s what makes Star Wars feel like Star Wars and you get that.”
The cast says this installment of the Star Wars franchise is funny, exciting, nostalgic and heartwarming. Even if you have never seen a Star Wars film director J.J. Abrams says you can see this film without having seen the other films. The story covers everything, so you won’t be lost. Therefore, this movie is for everyone from diehard Star Wars fans to newcomers.
