*During an interview with Los Angeles’ Real 92.3, 50 Cent was asked about Nicki Minaj’s decision to retire from the rap game and he noted that “Queen” rapper going through that all too common burn out cycle that comes for all artists who reach a certain level of success.
“All artists that establish themselves and have consistency, they start to feel a resistance at some point,” he said. “And that backlash is coming from the artist community. We want to see you make it…but if you don’t move how am I gonna have my chance to make it?”
It’s not the first time 50 has addressed Nicki’s retirement. In a Twitter pic of Minaj and her felon bae Kenneth Petty, Fifty wrote: “Both these n***as crazy, but you know you gotta love it SOUTH SIDE,” he said in a tweet. “I don’t want Nicki Minaj to retire just take a break.

We previously reported… Nicki Minaj dropped a bombshell earlier this month in a tweet announcing her retirement.
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now,” she wrote. “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me.”
Nicki responded to a fan who said she left the community “hurting” with the sudden announcement. In a follow-up post, the hip-hop star noted that she should have dropped the news on her Beats 1 show Queen Radio.
“I’m still right here,” Nicki said. “Still madly in love with you guys and you know that.” Minaj also promised that fans would “be happy” with her upcoming Queen Radio discussion on the matter.
According to TMZ, insiders say Minaj was pushed to announce her retirement because she was annoyed with the trolls and haters harassing her online over whether or not she writes her own songs, questions about her hip-hop legacy and criticism over her relationship with Petty. They also say Nicki has studio time book through October and plans to record with several artists.
