Octavia Spencer & Aaron Paul on New Apple TV+ Crime Drama ‘Truth Be Told’ – WATCH

*America has become obsessed with true-crime podcasts, so it’s no surprise that Kathleen Barber’s original novel Truth Be Told (formerly known as Are You Sleeping) has been turned into a drama series.

in this report, EURweb sat down with Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul who star in the new Apple TV+ drama series to discuss how they tapped into their characters and pulled back the layers of this story.

In the series, Spencer plays Poppy Parnell, a podcaster who plans to reopen a murder case that she is convinced helped put away Warren Cave (Paul) for the last 19 years.

With new evidence on the rise, Parnell believes she made a big mistake and that Cave is actually innocent. Through her podcast, Poppy tries to right her wrong.

“These days the majority of the things that I am spending my time with I want to have a say in,” Spencer an Academy Award Winner says. “I wanted to be apart of it because I am that armchair detective in my life, I’m the person snooping out of the window.”
