T.I. on Candace Owens: ‘A lot of the Rhetoric She Spews is Dangerous [VIDEO]

*T.I. and Candace Owens heated conversation during Diddy’s Revolt Summit in Atlanta last weekend quickly went viral because of their discussion about her support for Trump and the president’s “make America great again” slogan.

Now, the Atlanta rapper has shared what he really thinks about the conservative commentator’s political beliefs.

“Let me start off saying she’s a sister and I support her brilliance—understanding that she’s a sister that happens to be using her brilliance adversely,” T.I. said on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, around the 7:15 mark in the clip above. “I’m not necessarily against her personally but a lot of views and a lot of the rhetoric that she spews is dangerous.”

T.I. continued, “I’m not saying every black person has to be a Democrat… I’m not speaking on behalf of or in support of the Democratic party or the Republic party. I’m speaking for fair, righteous and decent. There’s just certain things that you have to understand you can’t say… I don’t want it to come off in any way disrespectful or it’s a me against her thing. It’s a me against what she’s saying thing—a me against what I feel she’s representing type thing.”

During the Revolt summit,  T.I. said to Owens: “Please answer this. When you say ‘make America great again,’ which period are we talking about? The period when women couldn’t vote, the period when we were hanging from trees, or the crack era? Which period in America are you trying to make America like again?”

Candance wasn’t ready … and she tried to evade the question by making up a false fact about America being one of the first countries to end slavery.

“Because you’re making light of the enslavement of people that look like us,” T.I. said when Owens asked why the crowd was booing her. “That ain’t nothing you breeze over.”

Meanwhile, when it comes to people of color who support Trump, the hip-hop star told Big Boy on Friday: “I think it’s a bit self-serving. I think they see what they can gain from the administration. Don’t get me wrong, if you make a little money, there are some perks. I’m not gonna argue against the perks.”
