*Earlier we reported that Brooklyn star rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine did some snitching in court when he testified that fellow rappers Jim Jones and Cardi B have ties to a street gang. However, Cardi B’s record label is denying any connection at all.
On Thursday, 6ix9ine ( a/k/a Daniel Hernandez) said that Cardi B was a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, but he also noted that he didn’t copy her by including gang members in his music videos, according to Page Six.
“I knew who she was. I didn’t pay attention,” he testified under cross-examination.
Atlantic Records, the label Cardi B. is signed to, quickly denied she was a member of the Bloods to Billboard.
Oops! We have a problem because Cardi herself confirmed to GQ earlier this year that she was indeed a member … as a teen, saying, “It’s almost like a fraternity, a sorority.”

In any event, it seems her head’s in a different place these days. She says she “wouldn’t want a young person, a young girl, to think it’s okay to join it.”
As of this posting, Atlantic Records had not provided any further info or clarification to its earlier comment.
Earlier this year, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to federal weapons and racketeering charges, but agreed to cooperate with federal authorities against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.
On Thursday, he was asked if his testimony in the case was to help the government or just his chances of getting a lighter sentence.
“Little bit of both,” was his response, according to Page Six.
