Netflix Drops Teaser for Long-awaited ‘Breaking Bad’ Feature [WATCH]

*The wait is finally over for “Breaking Bad” fans (like me) who have been hoping for a feature movie to pick up where the epic series left off.

On Saturday, Netflix revealed the first trailer for “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie,” the long-awaited film adaptation of the AMC drama series. The movie was written and directed by series creator Vince Gilligan, and will find Aaron Paul reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman.

Specific details about the plot have not been revealed but the official synopsis reads: “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”

The teaser trailer features Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) being interrogated about Jesse’s whereabouts.

“I don’t know what to tell you, I only said, like, 500 times already,” Skinny Pete tells police. “I have no idea where he is. Don’t know where he’s headed either. North, south, east, west, Mexico, the moon. I don’t have a clue. But yo, even if I did, I wouldn’t tell you.”

Bob Odenkirk, who plays Saul Goodman in the series, was first to reveal last week that the movie had been shot, and praised the creative team for doing a great job at keeping it a secret.

“I’ve heard so many different things about it, but I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can’t wait to see it…I don’t know what people know and don’t know,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I find it hard to believe you don’t know it was shot. They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.”

The movie is reported to be a sequel, following Jesse Pinkman in the wake of the series finale.

The final episode of the critically acclaimed series aired in 2013.

It is unclear if Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White, will return for the film.

When asked whether Cranston will reprise his role (it’s unclear if WW dies at the end of the series) – Aaron Paul shared with the New York Times.

“All I can say, I think people will be really happy with what they see,” he teased.

The three-time Emmy winner sais he was speechless after reading the script for “El Camino.”

“I couldn’t speak for a good 30, 60 seconds,” he said. “I was just lost in my thoughts. As the guy who played the guy, I was so happy that [creator Vince Gilligan] wanted to take me on this journey,” Paul added.

“It’s a chapter of Breaking Bad that I didn’t realize that I wanted. And now that I have it, I’m so happy that it’s there.”

“El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie” will premiere Oct. 11 on Netflix. The film is expected to air on AMC at a later date.
