*The elderly Black woman who was on the receiving end of a passenger’s racist rant on board a Ryanair flight has spoken out about the humiliating ordeal.
In the footage, a white male calls 77-year-old Delsie Gayle, who is disabled, an “ugly f****** c***” and an “ugly black b******”.
David Lawrence, whose clip was shared tens of thousands of times on Facebook, has also hit out at fellow passengers who failed to intervene.
The footage of the incident shows a man shouting at Gayle and demanding that she move seats while her daughter tries to explain to him that she is disabled.
“I don’t care whether she’s fucking disabled or not – if I tell her to get out, she gets out,” the man says.
When Gayle responds to the abuse the man shouts: “Don’t talk to me in a foreign language, you stupid ugly cow.”

Speaking to ITV News, Gayle said the encounter left her sleepless and feeling “very low.”
“He paid a fare to go on holiday, I’ve paid mine, so why does he abuse me for that due to the colour of my skin? He do it with me and he gets away, he’ll do it to somebody else,” she said.
“I feel really depressed about it. I go to my bed and say, ‘what have I done?’ I haven’t done anything for you to attack me. Because of the colour of my skin I was abused like that?”

“I’m depressed and I lost my husband, I’m so depressed I lost him,” she added. “I’m just sitting in the house, crying and I don’t go out. And she gave me three days holidays and so I said ‘ok I’ll come along.’”
Ryanair is under fire and has faced extensive criticism for not intervening to stop the abuse, and Gayle said she has not been contacted by the airline. Several folks have even called for a boycott.
The budget airline claims the matter has been turned over to the Essex police.

Gayle’s daughter said Ryanair staff acted as if the racist was the victim. ”On the plane it was unprofessional, and after it was unprofessional. It’s all wrong, I just believe they need more training,” she said.
The man who filmed the incident told BBC Radio 4′s “Today” program that it was a difficult decision for him to film the incident instead of intervening.
“For many years a lot of the West Indian community have gone through these types of incidents in Britain, but have never been able to share it with the public or with the world. So I decided that I had the opportunity to film this, as difficult as it was,” Lawrence said.
He told Sky News: “I looked around to see if there was going to be a response from the public, I didn’t hear any. I saw smirks and giggles going on.”
Mr. Lawrence filmed the abuse before take-off on a flight from Barcelona to Stansted on Friday.
“Ryanair wasn’t around. Eventually, someone came down and moved the woman from her seat and placed her further back, leaving the man sitting by himself,” he said.
“That’s the worst… It was a no-brainer – he should have been moved. He should have been taken off the flight all together, he should have been arrested. Nothing was done.”
