*Oregon law enforcement officials have arrested the unhinged, knife-wielding white woman who was captured on video hurling racial slurs at a Black couple.
According to reports, 39-year-old Amber Rocco faces two felony counts of intimidation, two felony counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of menacing, and two misdemeanor counts of harassment. At the time of this report, she was being held in the Yamhill County Jail on $55,000 bail.
Many social media users reacted strongly to the visual and noted that they would have taken any action necessary to defend their family from a crazed racist with a knife.
The encounter between Rocco, 20-year-old Emora Roberson and her family—including her 15-month-old daughter—went down in a mall parking lot on Christmas Eve, the Oregonian reported.

Rocco reportedly snapped at Roberson and her boyfriend, Keysuan Goodyear, when the couple pulled up too close to her pickup truck in a strip mall. She slapped and spit on Goodyear and pulled a knife out on him when the confronted her.
“We eventually drove off. We still had Christmas shopping to do. My daughter woke up and was crying her head off,” Roberson recalled.
As reported by NewsOne, Twitter user @pianomover noted that their reaction to the situation would have been hella different.
“I’m 6’8” 270lbs if I had a 15 mos old I was responsible for and someone pulled a knife on me my first thought wouldn’t be to take out my phone and video the confrontation,” @pianomover tweeted. “My first thought would be to get my child away and safe. Meth is a terrible drug.”
But @partysmashers98 defended the couple, writing, “people like that will call the authorities and lie. It’s in the best interest of the POC (people of color) to film these incidents.”
Twitter user @NYKnick1963 raised a question about whether this was a “stand your ground” situation, which allows people (mostly white) to use deadly force during encounters in which they fear for their life.
But Black people are far less likely to win in court when using that defense.
