*While promoting her upcoming remake of the box office hit “What Women Want,” Taraji P. Henson was asked by a reporter from the Associated Press whether she knew what Kanye West really meant by his Twitter rant last week.
Henson, who was joined by Angela Bassett, appeared shocked by the question, and responded with a firm, “No comment,” jezebel.com reported.
“Does he know what he wants? He keeps changing what he wants. How are we supposed to keep up with what he wants?” Bassett asks.
“That’s why I said no comment,” Henson adds. “I don’t know. Can’t help you.”

The AP reporter fails at attempting to connect the question with Henson’s movie. West and Henson aren’t known to be friends, they never publicly dated, and Henson didn’t react to “Free Thinker” Kanye and his pro-Trump rants on Twitter as it happened. So, why did the reporter ask? Because they’re both black?
Did the reporter post that question to the film’s white female lead, Wendy McLendon Covey?
The point is that Henson refused to play the AP’s game of aligning herself with Kanye.
