*Ayesha Curry’s restaurant in Houston is getting one-star reviews… and it hasn’t even opened yet.
Located in CityCentre, Curry and chef Michael Mina’s International Smoke is set to open in Houston on July 5. It will be the fourth location to showcase “how different cultures use fire, grilling, and smoke to create flavorful dishes.”
But two weeks before the location opens, its Yelp page has been flooded with poor reviews from folks who don’t like Ayesha’s husband, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, or his team.

As noted by MadameNoire, the Warriors recently defeated the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals before sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals, winning their third NBA championship.
Fans of the Rockets are still hurt about it, so they’re attempting to sabotage Ayesha’s eatery.
“Because Texan barbecue apparently isn’t good enough so we need San Francisco to tell us how it is done, because the Bay Area is really a bbq Mecca. Lol. Steph is overrated,” wrote one critic.
“This is absolutely the worst place to go – her husband cheated his way to a championship and now she has the guts to open up a place here?? I would never set foot in this place even if it was the last place on earth,” said another.
“Yeah, California BBQ in Houston. From the Curry family who dismissed my Rockets from the playoffs. Even if it was not tainted by the evil that is the GSW, I would not eat fresh seafood from Iowa and I sure as heck am not gonna eat BBQ from California,” stated another.
Out of more than 100 comments, there were enough one-star reviews to make the Yelp score two and a half stars out of five.
