This instance occurred at the funeral of her cousin, Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, who was shot several times before he died in Barbados. Tavon was just 21 years old when he was gunned down and was found dead in the St. Michael’s area of Barbados – hours after spending time with Rihanna to celebrate Christmas.
At the funeral of her cousin, Rihanna was overcome by emotion and could not hold her tears back – especially since the two shared a bond that was very close to her heart and very special for her. Following the funeral, Rihanna posted several photos with her cousin, and sparked the hashtag #endgunviolence , which also confirms that young Tavon was shot down due to a feud that he may have had prior to the whole incident.
Taking to her social media, Rihanna posted several photographs with Tavon, which were truly heart wrenching and exhibited her emotions evidently. Furthermore, at the funeral, Rihanna was seen wearing a sheer white midi dress paired with low-top Puma shoes that had her initials – RF for Robyn Fenty – emblazoned in gold on the side. She completed her outfit with a large diamond necklace and white cat-eye shades, with black nails and dark lipstick.

Tons of friends and family members attended the funeral of her cousin to pay their respects to the departed soul, while also consoling Rihanna in such a time that was noticeably difficult for her. Surrounded, possibly, by security guards, Rihanna laid down a large heart-shaped garland on the grave of her cousin and other friends and family members of the departed soul, followed suit.
The amount of people who lose their lives to guns each year is certainly distressing, but it can be stopped. This is exactly what seems to be the plan of action for Rihanna now, as she closed the subject with a photograph of Tavon’s flower-covered grave – captioning it, “sleep well buddy.”
