R-E-S-P-I-C-T: Rev. Al Sharpton Goes Viral After Misspelling Aretha Franklin Anthem (Watch)

*While coming for Donald Trump on his MSNBC show “Politics Nation,” Rev. Al Sharpton somehow managed to flub the spelled-out part of Aretha Franklin’s anthem “Respect.”

The host was discussing how the president called former White House aide and “Apprentice” contestant Omarosa Manigault Newman, a “dog.”

“I think you might’ve learned the lesson this week, sometimes the dog bites back with a book deal,” Sharpton said of Omarosa, citing the bombshells against Trump featured in her new tell-all, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.”

The civil rights leader then chose to quote “R-E-S-P-E-C-T” from his the Queen of Soul, who passed away on Aug. 16 at age 76.

However, Sharpton accidentally misspelled respect.

“In the words of my late friend Aretha Franklin, show some R-E-S-P-I-C-T, and the next time you get a black woman and a beagle confused, remember this: I got you,” he said.
