*And then there was the double date from hell that Meek Mill experienced with Beyoncé and Jay Z. Talk about awkward!
We found out about it during an interview with Elliot Wilson’s “CRWN.” The Philly based rapper told the story of him and and his now ex Nicki Minaj going to Bey and Jay’s for dinner.
“It was my first time. I was hype as s–t. I was with Nicki and s–t. Hov and Beyoncé like, ‘Come and eat with us.’ I’m from the hood! … I’m like, ‘Damn, I’m about to double date with Hov and Beyoncé right now. This s–t is incredible,’” he said.
Unfortunately for Meek, things quickly went from “incredible” to uncomfortable after Jay accidentally played “Back to Back,” Drake’s infamous 2015 Meek Mill diss track.
“Hov got the playlist. He clicking through s–t. He clicking through, ‘Back to Back’ come on by mistake while we at the table,” he said. “I’m like oh s–t. What the f–k? So Beyoncé and Hov and Nicki, everybody just looking like they don’t know what the f–k is going on.”

The collective stunned reaction didn’t make things any less embarrassing for Meek.
“I gotta take a s–t now,” he said. “I’m like, ‘Goddamn. What the f–k?’ I don’t know if they remember that, but s–t I remember that, it was crazy as s–t.”
As Page Six points out, things have changed a whole lot since that double date-to-forget. He and Minaj broke up, he became a face for criminal justice reform in America after spending five months in prison for a parole violation and, just this past Friday, released his comeback album, “Championships,” which features a verse from Jay himself.
He’s also made amends with Drake three years after accusing him of using ghostwriters and even came out to perform with him during a Boston date of the Aubrey and the Three Amigos tour in September.
In other words, time heals stuff and it’s all good now!
