*Meek Mill’s mother is calling on Philadelphia’s district attorney to “step in” and help her jailed son.

The plea by Kathy Williams came during a news conference Tuesday before the start of a criminal justice panel at the University of Pennsylvania.

Williams criticized the judge who sentenced Mill to two to four years in prison last fall for violating probation on a roughly decade-old gun and drug case. Although Judge Genece Brinkley is under FBI investigation for partial treatment of the rapper, an appeals court in December denied a request to free the 30-year-old on bail.

Williams wants District Attorney Larry Krasner to “get on the move” and “look into what’s happening in Pennsylvania.”

“It’s all corrupt,” she continued. “I feel like I was a criminal of them doing this to my son for 11, 12 years. Who does that to a child? Does this lady have a heart? He has a son to take care of.”

“When she sends him to jail for two to four years, who’s gonna pay my bills? That was my support,” Williams said.

Mill’s reps previously asked that the district attorney’s office intervene in the case.

D.A. Krasner has declined to comment on the request.

As previously reported, Philadelphia social justice leaders and students from various local universities gathered Tuesday for the city-wide panel “Reform: Bringing Injustice to Light,” to discuss Mill’s current legal troubles and the criminal justice system overall.
