*A lot of eyes are on LeBron James because he’s … LeBron James! Another reason is because this morning he clapped back at Donald Trump who went in on him on Twitter. However, the superstar decided against playing Trump’s game.
Nope, James did the Michelle Obama and took the high road and simply retweeted a message from his newly-minted school, saying “Let’s get it kids! Love you guys.”

As we reported, James opened the “I Promise” school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, earlier in the week … providing 240 students with a myriad of benefits, including free meals and a new bicycle.
However, as TheWrap reported, Trump wasn’t referring to James’ philanthropy on Friday night. Trump responded to an interview between James and CNN’s Don Lemon, who Trump dubbed the “dumbest man on television.” Trump tweeted that Lemon “made LeBron look smart, which isn’t easy to do.” He even jumped back to the early 90s, referencing Gatorade’s Michael Jordan ads by adding “I like Mike!”

Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!

Oh yeah, by the way, Michael Jordan just tweeted his support for LeBron and not the orange a-hole, telling NBC News …
“I support LJ. He’s doing an amazing job for his community.”
Trump was apparently pissed that James told Lemon he “would never sit across from” the president.
Even though James was mellow in his response, Don Lemon wasn’t even trying to be nice and went right at the president.
“Who’s the real dummy?” Lemon tweeted, attaching a link to his interview in which James discussed the new school for at-risk youth he launched in his native Akron, Ohio. “A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?”
Oooh, snap!
Here’s MORE reaction to Trump’s comments about LeBron and it’s not good for you-know-who.
So let me get this straight: Flint, MI has dirty water still, but you worried about an interview about a man doing good for education and generations of kids in his hometown? Shut your damn mouth! Stop using them twitter fingers and get stuff done for our country with that pen. https://t.co/sEkX3OKaJM

Lebron James represents the best of America. Donald Trump represents the worst of it. https://t.co/35hx6IXHEr

LeBron is a smart dude (and one of the most thoughtful athletes we have) – this is a bullshit tweet and feels more than a little racist. You’re a constant embarrassment. https://t.co/QxYpuyHsuW

This is apparently what the President of the United States feels the need to share with the world at what should be long past his bedtime? It’s a disgrace. It’s racist. And it’s the product of petty but dangerous hatreds. I repeat this is the PRESIDENT??!? https://t.co/MA8nZUxFc7
