Following his unsettling comments on Trump and the 13th Amendment, Yeezy devoted some time to former Crips gang leader turned community activist Eugene Henley, who now dedicates his life to launching programs for children to help keep them off the streets, The Blast reports.

Big U tells the site that he’s launching a new program in the city aimed at converting portable storage units into drop-off locations for children to have access to developmental tools like books, science kits and toys that help develop motor skills. His goal is to provide anything to “get the kids to learn using their hands.” He’s hoping celebrities such as Mr. West will bring awareness to the project, the report states.

When Kanye showed up to the youth football league team dinner for the Crenshaw Rams — still wearing his MAGA hat — he reportedly gave vague details about how he plans to “do something even bigger” for the community.

The Blast noted that at the meeting, he was confronted by several people over his support for 45. Kanye explained that he met with Obama during his presidency and was “disappointed” in how he took care of the black community.
