*PETA unveiled its latest ad aimed at meat-eaters on Thursday (8/23), with none other than Jermaine Dupri  pleading with viewers to go vegan.

“I want the world to know the vegan lifestyle, to me, is the best lifestyle,” Dupri says in the video. “I feel like anybody that has a problem with their energy level being right, tired all the time, you can definitely feel the difference. A vegan lifestyle puts you on that track to just be healthy.”

Dupri’s relationship with PETA is the latest in an eventful 2018 for the producer. In June, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and he’s currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of his famed label So So Def.

To commemorate the label’s legacy, Dupri enlisted Bow Wow, Da Brat, Jagged Edge and other So So Def artists to tag along with him for their 11-city anniversary tour, which will kick off this October.

In other Jermaine Dupri news, as proof that he may having some financial issues, the ATL based music producer is accused of refusing to pay $575k in back taxes. It must be bad because he’s been hit with a lien, reports theJasmineBrand.

On May 29, Dupri was hit with a state tax lien by the Georgia Department of Revenue. The lien accuses him of refusing to pay up on taxes for 2012, 2014 and 2015. The Department claims Dupri owes a total of $578,638 in taxes.

The original amount owed was only $278,903 but grew with interest ($165k), penalties ($78k) and other collection fees ($55k) over the years.

The site says the government is warning the producer that they will begin to seize his property and assets if he doesn’t pay up ASAP.
