*Fabolous has reportedly copped a plea to lesser charges in his assault case that will take any possible jail time off the table.

According to Bossip, the rapper will avoid incarceration on charges that he assaulted his girlfriend and mother of his children, Emily Bustamante. The two appeared to have reconciled in the weeks since the alleged assault, and Fab had reportedly finalized a plea deal earlier this month.

He appeared in Bergen County Superior Court on Thursday for an “early disposition hearing.” His lawyer said that Fabolous planned to take a “pre-trial intervention” deal, which means he’ll plead guilty — most likely for a less severe charge — in order to avoid jail time and participate in a diversion program made for first-time offenders.

The “pre-trial intervention” deal is only offered to first-time offenders and runs from six months to a few years. If completed successfully, the charge will be wiped off his record.

Fab reportedly did not speak during the hearing, and was accompanied by a man and a woman. Emily B was not with him.

He’s expected back in court next month.
