*Stars and the cast of “A Boy. A Girl. A Dream.,” directed by Qasim Basir, came out to support the premiere of the film in Hollywood.
The movie takes place on election night 2016, where two strangers – Cass (Omari Hardwick) and Free (Meagan Good) – meet up and have one very interesting night together.
As the night looks grim for them since the election is not going their way, they focus on the things that are important to them. They both force one another to dig deep into themselves to realize their dreams and conquer their fears of making those dreams come true.
On the carpet, the cast talked about how they are able to keep their dreams alive and stay away from people who may not be as encouraging as Cass and Free were to each other in the film. Actress and star of the movie Meagan Good had good advice on how to handle those negative people.
“People will always try to kill your dream they will also have something to say, and I think the more that you love on them regardless the more you free yourself.”
We also spoke with Datari Turner the producer of the film, who says: “You can’t allow that, God made you, he created you and he put you here to win, you gotta trust God.”
