Earlier we reported …

*Wow. We hope he’s OK. We’re talking about the legendary Julius Erving/Dr. J.

Irving, an NBA Hall of Famer became sick while attending his old team, the Philadelphia 76ers’ home game Friday night (01-05-18) and ended up in a local hospital.

As of this posting, no information as to his condition had been released.

“Philadelphia 76ers legend Julius Erving fell ill at tonight’s game and was taken to a local hospital, where he is currently being evaluated. He is expected to be released after the evaluation,” said a statement on behalf of Erving’s management team and the Sixers.

Erving, 67, attended the game and rang the ceremonial Liberty Bell before tipoff. Dr. J was there to be honored by the team. The occasion was to mark 35 years since he threw down his famous cradle dunk against the Lakers.

Erving led the Sixers to their last NBA championship in 1983 and was 1981 NBA MVP.

Meanwhile, another well-known Philly athlete, Donovan McNabb is O-U-T at ESPN. The 4-letter network has officially kicked him to the curb after an investigation into sexual harassment claims during his time at the NFL Network.

As previously reported, McNabb was named in a lawsuit filed by a former NFL Network wardrobe stylist who claims several well-known employees harassed her … including Marshall Faulk, Ike Taylor, Eric Davis and Warren Sapp.

As far as McNabb was concerned, the woman claimed he sent her text messages asking if “she was a squirter” and telling her she “looked like the kind of girl that squirted when getting f*cked.”

McNabb and Davis had left NFL Network and got new jobs with ESPN — but they were suspended by ESPN when they learned of the allegations against the 2 men.

Now, ESPN confirms both McNabb and Davis are no longer ESPN employees.
