Chris Brown Responds After Vanessa Carlton Rips Him for Posting Her Song ‘One Thousand Miles’

*Vanessa Carlton’s 2004 pop hit “One Thousand Miles” was shared by Chris Brown on a day that happened to be International Women’s Day…and Carlton is not happy.

Breezy took to Instagram Thursday (Mar. 8) to post a clip from the song. However, Carlton didn’t appreciate the shout out on International Women’s Day given his domestic violence history with Rihanna in 2009.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Carlton wrote, “Today Chris Brown posted my video. I am now being repeatedly tagged to his account. Being that today is International Women’s Day I feel compelled to draw a line.”

“I support survivors not perpetrators of domestic violence. I do not want to be associated with an artist that has assaulted women on a day like today. Thank you #internationalwomensday,” she continued.

Brown responded to Carlton in another now-deleted post, featuring a screenshot of Carlton’s original message. He wrote: “I posted a song that was and still is a great song and the artist felt she was doing her duty as a WOMAN to continue to spread this kind of hatred today. I won’t keep it up long. I just hope she knows she is loved and her song is great.”

After deleting that original response, he reposted the song, but this time with the famous clip of its use in the film “White Chicks”:

I LOVE THIS SONG
