*As we previously reported, Alison Ettel (AKA Permit Patty) is the latest white woman to call the cops of a black person for a mundane reason.
Social media has been going IN on Ettel ever since a video went viral showing her calling the cops on an 8-year-old girl (Jordan) for selling water on a hot day (without a permit).
Ettel is CEO of a weed dispensary called Treatwell Tinctures, and she tells Leafly she didn’t really call the cops on the child, she only pretended to do so out of frustration… but the damage has been done.
Now that the #PermitPatty video has gone viral, several California stores have pulled Ettel’s company’s cannabis products.

Jordan’s mother, Erin Austin, said Ethel walked up to her demanding a permit. She threatened to call the police if they could not produce one. Ettel later told the Huffington Post that she was only pretending to call the cops.
As a result of her actions, one of Permit Patty’s suppliers, Magnolia Oakland, said they were going to stop carrying her products.

When Ettel appeared on the “Today” show crying typical White woman tears, she explained: “I tried to be polite but I was stern. I said ‘Please, I’m trying to work. You’re screaming, you’re yelling. And people have their windows open, it’s a hot day. Can you please keep it down?’”
Austin said that Ettel never asked them to be quiet. Instead, she immediately demanded a permit.
“That woman thought that she could use her White privilege and it didn’t work,” said Austin.
Austin said her daughter was selling water in an effort to raise money to help her mother who recently lost her job and go to Disneyland.
The good news in all this, when Jordan’s story went viral, a man named Jonathon Brannon decided to buy the Disney tickets for the little girl.

During her interview on the “Today” show, Ettel said she has received: “All kinds of threats. Horrible, horrible images. And death threats.”
She claims to be ashamed of her behavior and would like to apologize to her neighbors. Luckily, Erin and her daughter said they would not accept the apology.
