*”Star Wars” standout John Boyega has joined the growing list of Hollywood notables pledging to adopt an inclusion rider clause in all future movie contracts.

Since Frances McDormand mentioned the rider in her Best Actress acceptance speech earlier this month, several stars, including Michael B. Jordan, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have said they will adopt the practice, which ensures diversity in hiring both behind and in front of the camera.

Boyega, who nabbed his first production credit on new movie “Pacific Rim Uprising,” said he thinks inclusion riders will bring about positive change in the film industry.

“We are redefining and reshaping the industry at the moment,” Boyega, 25, told BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat at a London screening of the “Pacific Rim” sequel. “A lot of the secret rules of Hollywood are unfounded and unlawful so to start including them makes our industry better. Those who wish to defy (using inclusion riders), they’re held accountable. So for me, I love that it’s happening.”

Brie Larson, Don Cheadle and director Paul Feig have also pledged to place inclusion riders in any new movie deals they sign.
