*Civil rights leaders Najee Ali CEO of Project Islamic Hope and Pastor Kelvin Sauls of Holman United Methodist Church will lead a “Save The Children” rally in South L.A. with a coalition of clergy, activists and community members in response to the United States Government detainment of over 2,000 children who are literally being held hostage as political pawns by the Trump administration and continue.to be separated from their parents.
“Thousands of children continue to.be detained in various detention centers around the border states. This U.S. policy is cruel and inhumane. Children are being traumatized with the separation.of being removed from their parents. Our coalition is calling for Trump to end this inhumane policy immediately and calls for the U.S.Congress to pass legislation to end this inhumane policy to put and end to the torture of these innocent children,” stated Najee Ali and Pastor Sauls.

Yahoo reports that while Winfrey’s message angered many POTUS supporters, it also spurred fresh calls for her to run against Trump next time. The 64-year-old media mogul — who just inked a major deal with Apple — has spent most of 2018 fending off rumors that she’ll make a 2020 presidential bid, though Trump has shared his desire for a face-off.
“Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!” he tweeted in February.
Ultimately, most commenters just want Winfrey to take action — whether it means running for president or simply using her power for good.
