*After being accused of sexual misconduct, Ryan Seacrest could use a friend right about now. Fortunately for him, he has Best Supporting Actress Oscar nominee Mary J. Blige on his side. She says the TV host is “fighting for his life right now.”
Yesterday (03-04-18) on the Oscars red carpet, Blige says that she loves Seacrest and that she doesn’t know the whole truth of what happened. Specifically, Seacrest is accused of sexual misconduct by his former personal stylist. He has denied the allegations.
Blige was one of several stars, including Diane Warren, Allison Janney and of course, Taraji P. Henson, who spoke to Seacrest.
The Grammy winner says she’s a supporter of the #MeToo movement and stressed how important it is for women to be liberated and set free by telling the truth.
Blige was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the period drama “Mudbound.” Unfortunately, she lost to Allison Janey who won for her role in “The Shape of Water.”

Betcha never thought you would see the Whoopster in a gown , did ya? OK, it’s not like she’s never done it before, but given her record of wearing loose, baggy sweats and stuff, it’s no wonder that Whoopi Goldberg nearly stopped traffic Sunday’s Oscars because of the spectacular gown she wore … and looked damn good in it, too.
The co-host of ABC’s “The View,” walked the red carpet wearing a Christian Siriano-designed dress, a rare choice for the comedian.
“He said, ‘I’m going to make it so you’ll be comfortable,’” Goldberg shared on the red carpet, “so it has pockets.”
We also learned that Goldberg, 62, who’s also noted for her unique shoe collection, let her comfort level extend to her feet by wearing sensible boots.
She accessorized her look with a red ribbon in support of The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
