*It’s Krush Groove reimagined; “The After Party” will be coming out on Netflix August 24 and is a great end of of summer movie.
If you want to laugh, see a lot of celebrities and love hip hop then put “The After Party” on your to watch list.
Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, DJ Khaled, Ski Mask the Slump God, Desiigner, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Tee Grizzley, Young M.A., and more make appearance in the film and the cast includes fresh faces Kyle Harvey, Harrison Holzer, Shelley Hennig, Teyana Taylor, Jordan Rock, Amin Joseph, Andy Buckley and legend Blair Underwood who appeared in Krush Groove.
California born rapper, Kyle Harvey makes his film debut in The After Party; which is a coming of age film. It’s about an aspiring rapper, named Owen who is trying to get a record deal, when he finally gets his chance to shine, it goes all wrong and he becomes famous for the wrong reason and it goes viral. Wiz Khalifa (who plays himself) gives Owen some helpful advice and some low-grade weed. Owen doesn’t take to well to that strain of weed and has a bad reaction and during his set on stage falls and has a minor seizure. Of Course, because everyone has a smartphone, Owen’s mishap goes viral and he become known as  #Seezjahboy.
His best friend Jeff, (Harrison Holzer) wants to help Owen shake the #Seezjahboy hashtag and assist in getting him a record deal for his skills. So the plan is to get Owen into a NYC after party to showcase his skills and become a legit rapper. Of course, it’s not that easy and the craziness ensue.
This musical comedy produced by Live Nation Productions. “The After Party” will premiere on Netflix on August 24.
