*Shemar Moore took an unconventional approach when it came to landing his Grammy date, actress Anabelle Acosta.
“I’ll tell the truth, I wrote an email,” the actor, 47, told Entertainment Tonight. “I did that impromptu chivalry stuff. I took a chance, I leaped.”
Best known for her work on “Quantico,” the actress, 37, appeared impressed by Moore’s attempts to win her over.
“Very sweet. He was a gentleman. I had to write back,” she said with a broad smile.
Although Moore thought his email-writing skills were romantic, he wasn’t sure she’d respond.
“I went back to my creative writing classes,” he quipped as Acosta looked on. “I got my mom in my head. Show respect. I was a poet.”
While the couple had lots of chemistry during their interview, they insist that their date night was all in fun adding they’re slowly getting to know each other.
“It’s a good story no matter how it plays out,” Moore added.
