Will Smith Reunites with ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ Cast

*“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” cast got back together again and hit the beach.

Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton in the TV series, posted a photo to his Instagram account of the group, which included Will Smith, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid and Joseph Marcell.

“Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” said Ribeiro. “Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”

Avery, who played Uncle Phil, died in 2013 due to complications from heart surgery. Fans hit up the comment section to reminisce about the series and send love to the cast members, including Avery.

“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” aired on NBC from September 10, 1990, to May 20, 1996. Smith played a fictionalized version of himself, a teen from West Philadelphia who is sent to move in with his wealthy aunt and uncle in their Bel Air mansion after getting into a fight on a local basketball court.

For those hoping that this reunion signals some sort of Netflix revival à la Fuller House, don’t hold your breath. Last year, Smith told E! News that would happen “pretty close to when hell freezes over.”
