*Since Nicki Minaj has yet to respond to the 7 minute L she took from Remy Ma, the Internet felt it was unnecessary to follow up “ShETHER” with “Another One,” which Remy dropped overnight along a half-naked photo of Minaj that she later deleted. (See below.)
Remy chose to premiere “Another One” on Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 show last night (March 2). The track borrows from the flow and circumstances of Drake’s “Back to Back,” which he dropped shortly after his Meek Mill diss track didn’t get an immediate response.
The song opens with an audio clip of Mariah Carey — with whom Minaj famously beefed with during their “American Idol” run — before moving on to the subject at hand.
“I guess now you know who the head bitch is/ I’m a savage/ I be killin’ dead bitches/ I bet you wish that you ain’t never said shit/ Now they so busy shooting videos/ And I’m like nah, where the f**k is your song, I mean c’mon,” raps Remy, making reference to Minaj’s recent video shoot with Future.
Remy continues, further noting Minaj’s silence since “ShETHER” hit: “Waited four days, ma, where you been?/ I came here in the ‘Rari playing Lil’ Kim/ Don’t know what made you think that you could f**k with Rem/ But I guess this is what I gotta do to make ya spit.”
She also implies she may have some incriminating material of Minaj when she raps, “Bet you wonderin’ how I know your problems?/ It’s a lot of people that you really bothered/ They was selling footage and you know I bought it.”
To put it mildly, the song was widely panned on social media – mostly questioning Remy’s decision to fire another shot while Minaj is turning up overseas at Paris Fashion Week.
