Jeannie Mai Talks Not Allowing Others Opinions To Interfere With Your Relationship

Jeannie Mai: To me, this is, to each person is a different situation. For me, I personally don’t have a problem with my significant other liking, commenting on anybody else. Because I feel like if you are fixated on what other people think you are insecure about what other people think, when it comes to your relationship. Okay.

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni Love: Well…

Jeannie: And I’m going to take it a little bit deeper.

Loni: Okay.

Jeannie: For me, I know social media changed my world, I was born in a time when there was no social media the worst you could get was bullying outside on the street, that was a lot on its own. Now it’s what other people think, you can track what other people like, all that stuff. And I realized that I really had to guard my mind and my heart on what I want to care about. Because the second I actually open up that, that threshold of what I think I should care about with other women and what other people think about me…

Loni: I get that…I get that…

Jeannie: Then It spirals me into a place that I don’t like about myself…

Loni: But I think what happens…

Jeannie: And that’s a big one.

Loni: …is that social media can be a… the devil’s playground at times.

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: And I think sometimes it’s not about you, it’s about that other person.
