The Lee Daniels-created music drama tells the story of three young singers trying to make it in the music industry. Big Boi first appeared in the series’ third episode back in January and was convinced to produce for the up-and-coming group. It wasn’t long before he called quits on the gig because there was “too much drams” between the singers and their surrogate mother Carlotta Brown (played by Queen Latifah). This week Big Boi is back, along with guest stars Naomi Campbell and Paris Jackson, in the “Saving Face” episode that finds Star (Jude Demorest) and Hunter (Chad James Buchanan) taking their relationship to the next level, while Rose (Campbell) returns to help Alex (Ryan Destiny) and Derek (Quincy Brown) deal with the aftermath of a traumatic experience. Carlotta reveals her reasoning for keeping a secret to herself for all of these years, and Cotton (Amiyah Scott) does the unthinkable to the one person she trusts the most. Meanwhile, the girls have a publicity photo shoot with social media guru Rachel Wells (Jackson), and someone is finally arrested and charged for Otis’ murder.
