*(Hollywood, CA) – DASH Radio head DJ SKEE puts his money where his mouth is. The influential DJ turned digital entrepreneur, with his streaming broadcast radio platform – DASH – supports Miles Electric Band drummer/band leader Vince Wilburn, Jr., also host of DASH’s popular “Evolution Of The Groove” show.

In the spirit of Miles, the free-form, progressive platform covers a multitude of genres and topics, designed to keep the cultural conversation moving forward. The show also pays homage to Miles Davis, widely noted as one of the most innovative musicians of all time, who changed the course of music five times. Evolution Of  The Groove airs regularly on DASH1station, Fridays from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. PST, 7 p.m. EST and 6 p.m. CT.  The show also airs on Cool Jazz.

Wilburn, Jr. is a highly accomplished drummer,producer and band leader, who has both toured and recorded with Miles on many legendary recordings from 1984 through 1987, including:  The GRAMMY-Award winning album “AURA” — which he co-produced; “Decoy” – which he also co-produced; “You’re Under Arrest“, and the 2008 GRAMMY nominated “Miles From India” – which hit #8 on the Billboard jazz chartsWilburn, Jr. also toured internationally with the All-Star “Miles From India” ensemble to sell-out crowds.

His current band – Miles Electric Band – known for revising the framework for modern jazz innovation, recently toured Japan, Australia and Toronto. The group also performed domestically to sold-out crowds at SF Jazz Center (June 2016; August 2014) Lotos Jazz Festival (February 2014)and at the Hollywood Bowl (June 2012).

The progressive ensemble features an All-Star line-up of Miles Davis alumni and world class talent, including four time GRAMMY® nominee John Beasley and Robert Irving, III on piano; GRAMMY® nominee Badal Roy on tabla;  legendary P-Funk guitarist Blackbyrd McKnight; acclaimed percussionists  Munyungo Jackson and Mino Cinelu; bassist Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones); Powerhouse saxophonist Antoine Roney (Lenny Kravitz), iconic bassist Richard Patterson (Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald) and hip hop turntablist DJ Logic.
