*Celebrity moms celebrated the 4th Annual Scandal-less Mother’s Day Brunch honored Grammy Award-winning singer Melanie Fiona and popular mommy blogger, Kristina Kuzmic.
The event occurred Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the beautiful Castaway Restaurant in Burbank, California. In keeping with tradition, guests were pampered with manicures, massages, swag items, a full brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas.
Among the 200 affluent and celebrity moms in attendance were Simone I Smith (Founder of SIS Jewelry and wife of LL Cool J), Apryl Jones (Love and Hip Hop Hollywood), Torrei Hart (Actress, Producer), Gillian White (Actress, wife of Michael Jai White), Althea Hart (Love and Hip Hop Atlanta) and many others. The event was hosted for the second consecutive year by Deanna “Bomb Chica” DellaCioppa (America’s Got Talent).
Melanie Fiona, is a Canadian R&B recording artist. She was born and raised in Toronto. She started her career in 2002 as part of a Canadian musical girl band trio X-Quisite that was nominated for “R&B/Soul Recording of the Year” for the band’s album X-Quisite. She went on to be part of The Renaissance (with rapper Drake), and under the name Syren Hall, recorded reggae songs. Melanie holds two Grammy Awards for “Fool for You” with CeeLo Green. She also has an Eska, Juno andSoul Train Awards all while raising her son born in March of 2016.
Kristina Kuzmic has become a Youtube sensation with her “mom-centric” videos about raising children and juggling all of life’s challenges. With over 300 million views across media outlets and websites worldwide, Kristina already has a voice and personality that has proven to be a hit with a massive audience (from young millennials through Gen-Xers and even Baby Boomers).
Attendees, also known as “Gladiator Moms” arrived at the Castaway and enjoyed a day of celebrating Moms. The aesthetics were stunning with themed tiffany blue which matched the amazing décorations by event planning teams Cairo’s Custom Events (https://www.instagram.com/cairoscustomevents/) and bdashd (https://bdashdevents.com/). Vendors on the wildly popular Pamper Patio included Manly Handz, MOBB United, FlatRate Moving Company, Black Velvet Hair, Elle Properties, Real Water and many others.
