*Netflix has released a trailer for its original film “Sandy Wexler,” the third feature film under Adam Sandler’s current multi-picture deal with the streaming service.
Sandler plays Wexler, a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s, who diligently represents a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. His single-minded devotion is put to the test when he falls in love with his newest client, a tremendously talented singer named Courtney Clarke, played by Jennifer Hudson.
Sparks fly after Wexler discovers Courtney at an amusement park.
The film also features cameo appearances by Terry Crews, Arsenio Hall, Carl Weathers, Chris Rock, Darius Rucker and others.
“Sandy Wexler” reunites Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions company with director Steve Brill (“The Do-Over”). Paul Sado, Dan Bulla and Sandler wrote the script.
The film premieres on Netflix on April 14.
