*Beyonce may have been born just after the 70s ended, but it didn’t stop her from celebrating the decade for her 35th birthday.
It was all afros and bell-bottoms at The Nomad Hotel in New York City, with hubby Jay Z joining such guests as Diddy and Cassie, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland and Alicia Keys for a “Soul Train”-themed bash.
At one point, Blue Ivy took the mic and yelled, “Happy Birthday Mommy,” melting the crowd.
Bey’s sister Solange was also on hand, as were June Ambrose, Carmelo and LaLa Anthony, Swizz Beatz, Chance the Rapper, Detail, The-Dream, Jourdan Dunn, Ty Hunter, Chanel Iman, Joan Smalls and Serena Williams.
The party didn’t stop until 5 a.m. this morning.

As previously reported, hours before the party, Live Nation and Parkwood Entertainment announced that Beyoncé had to postpone her Sept. 7 concert in East Rutherford, N.J. “As a result of strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest,” the star’s performance at MetLife Stadium has been postponed until Oct. 7.
