*Former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien will enter TV’s Sunday morning political landscape this fall with her own syndicated show, “Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien.”

O’Brien tells The Washington Post the show will attempt to bring new voices into the Sunday show format. “I’m guessing that a 20-year-old in Baltimore has a lot to say about education in America that’s probably more relevant than … the owner of a charter-school conglomerate,” O’Brien said.

The show will be produced in Washington at the Newseum, and air on Hearst-owned stations.

O’Brien served as a correspondent for Al Jazeera America, and since the network’s shutdown has also filled in on “CBS This Morning,” reported for HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” and PBS.

“Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien” is scheduled to debut on Sept. 10.
