*The #OscarsSoWhite controversy has inevitably reached President Obama.
He was in the middle of talking to local television stations about boosting enrollment for health insurance coverage, but the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles slipped in a question about the race issue currently dominating nearby Hollywood.
Regarding the lack of minority representation among the acting categories, POTUS said the film industry should “look for talent and provide opportunity to everybody.”
“I think this Oscar debate is really just an expression of this broader issue of – are we making sure that everybody is getting a fair shot?,” he said.
