*President Obama’s post-office rental pad in Washington, DC is getting a face lift, which includes turning a garage stall into a temporary office.

According to construction permits obtained by TMZ, the work includes “installation of fencing, utilities and a cat walk over an existing staircase. “

Someone on the construction team told the celebrity news site that they’re “upgrading the electrical system in the house to support the specific needs of the soon-to-be former first family.”

Additionally, the contractor will “temporarily convert one garage stall into an office with new bathroom.”

The $6 million property, which is located right on the street, will be guarded by Secret Service.

In related news, President Obama said Democrats lost the election because they failed to campaign in hard-hit rural areas, reports CNN.com.

“You’ve got a situation where they’re not only entire states but also big chunks of states where, if we’re not showing up, if we’re not in there making an argument, then we’re going to lose,” Obama told NPR. “And we can lose badly, and that’s what happened in this election.”

Forbes Magazine has named Michael Jordan the 4th richest celebrity in America. This comes weeks after the magazine identified him as the highest paid athlete of all time.

Jordan is worth an estimated $1.2 billion, and he ranks behind three minted celebs: Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas.

Most of Jordan’s wealth comes from the Jordan Brand, which nets around $2.8 billion each year.

If black folks ever stop buying his shoes, Jordan’s annual Forbes ranking will become a memory.

Meanwhile, footwearnews.com reports that Jordon once told a former NBA star that he wasn’t good enough to wear Air Jordans. Richard Hamilton recently shared a tale about his early attempts to align with Jordan Brand while playing as a rookie with the Washington Wizards alongside the b-ball icon.

Hamilton told The Jump, “At times, me and a couple of the young guys would come up to him and say, ‘Hey Mike, why don’t you think about putting us in the Brand Jordan collection?’ And he’ll look at me and say, ‘Hey Rip, my sneaker is for All-Stars.’ ”

“At that time, I [was] like, ‘Wow, really?’ ” Hamilton said. He also remembered Jordan bluntly telling another teammate, “Your game is not good enough for my sneakers.”
