*Folks close to Keshia Knight Pulliam’s martial drama with Ed Hartwell are spilling tea about what went wrong between the couple. While Keshia was blindsided by his divorce filing, she was not ignorant to the issues that were driving a wedge between them.
One source tells The YBF that “Ed was engaged to a woman named Tonya Carroll before his quick engagement to Keshia. He was allegedly still seeing her throughout the marriage, and Keshia, who is four months pregnant, believes he cheated.”
The report goes on to say that Ed often left Keshia at home to care for the son he has with his first wife, Lisa Wu Hartwell, named EJ. Lisa was often in L.A. filming “Hollywood Divas” and other projects.
Interestingly, Ed wants a paternity test for the baby Keshia is carrying. The source tells The YBF, “If any paternity test needs to be taken it would need to be with a side chick and not Keshia.”

Meanwhile, a source close to Hartwell tells PEOPLE the former NFL star “doesn’t have any evidence of her cheating” but wants a paternity test because he is concerned about the timing of the pregnancy.
“It’s just that he had told her he wanted to wait before having a baby and things got really bad between them and then she pops up pregnant,” says the source.
“He even told her he didn’t want to release the bump picture so soon, but she did it anyway,” adds the insider.
The source also says that Hartwell, ”just wants to make sure that just because they were married he still covers his bases and gets everything checked out.”
“The pregnancy came during a very dark spot in their relationship,” explains the source.
Pulliam announced her pregnancy last week on Instagram along with the caption: “Surprise!!! We have a new addition coming soon… Tune into #KandidlyKeshia this week for the details!!” she captioned a picture of herself posing with a cupcake topped with pink frosting, revealing she’s expecting a girl.
Pulliam and Hartwell tied the knot in January following their New Year’s Eve engagement.
