Kanye’s Cancelled ‘Pablo’ Tour Will Cost Him $30 Million

*Kanye West was reportedly hospitalized for exhaustion following the announcement that he’s cancelling the remainder of his Saint Pablo Tour. The rapper is leaving $30 million on the table after canceling, and all tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

At the time of this write-up, West was under observation at a Los Angeles hospital. A source close to his family told CNN that the rapper is being treated for “exhaustion” at UCLA Medical Center.

The decision to hospitalize him came after LAPD responded to a disturbance call, according to the source.

It’s worth noting that in Hollywoodland, when celebs use the term “exhausted,” it usually translates to = seeking mental help or treatment for substance abuse. In Ye’s case, we believe it’s all mental.

West’s mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, spoke to the news magazine Extra about his condition on Monday night.
“He’s exhausted. He’s just really tired,” Jenner said. “He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind, so he just needs to rest.”

Live Nation, which sold tickets to the tour through Ticketmaster, announced the cancellation Monday morning, after West’s bizarre outbursts during his concerts in Sacramento and Los Angeles. At one point, he blasted Beyonce, and begged his former friend Jay Z to return his calls and to not send any hitmen after him.

West stunned many when he revealed that he would have voted for President-elect Donald Trump, had he voted. That didn’t sit well with fans and the media. He also said he wished black people would stop talking about racism.

West had been taking in more than $1.4 million a night off of ticket sales alone, meaning he’s leaving about $30.2 million on the table, according to analysts.

Bloomberg.com explains that insurance covers West and the venues in case of natural disasters. But Yeezy canceled the tour without explanation, so what his total losses will be is unclear.

Tickets purchased online and via telephone will be automatically refunded. Questions may be directed to 404-878-3800.
